ไวรัส HPV (Human Papillomavirus) เป็นเชื้อไวรัสที่ติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์ซึ่งพบได้บ่อยที่สุดในโลก
ส่วนใหญ่แล้วผู้ที่ติดเชื้อจะไม่มีอาการ และร่างกายสามารถกำจัดเชื้อได้เองภายใน 1–2 ปี แต่ในบางกรณี เชื้อ HPV บางสายพันธุ์สามารถฝังตัวอยู่และกลายเป็นสาเหตุของ มะเร็งปากมดลูก, มะเร็งช่องปาก, มะเร็งทวารหนัก, หรือ หูดหงอนไก่
ปัจจุบันเราสามารถ ตรวจหาเชื้อ HPV ได้ตั้งแต่เนิ่นๆ ก่อนที่ร่างกายจะแสดงอาการหรือมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเซลล์ผิดปกติ
HPV คืออะไร?
HPV (Human Papillomavirus) คือไวรัสที่มีมากกว่า 100 สายพันธุ์
ในจำนวนนั้น:
- บางสายพันธุ์เป็น Low-risk → ทำให้เกิดหูดที่อวัยวะเพศ
- บางสายพันธุ์เป็น High-risk → เกี่ยวข้องกับการเกิดมะเร็ง เช่น HPV 16, 18
HPV สามารถติดได้จาก:
- การมีเพศสัมพันธ์แบบมีหรือไม่มีถุงยางอนามัย
- การสัมผัสผิวหนังในบริเวณอวัยวะเพศ
- จากแม่สู่ลูกในระหว่างคลอด (กรณีน้อย)
วิธีตรวจ HPV

รูปแบบการตรวจมีดังนี้:
- HPV DNA Test – ตรวจหาสารพันธุกรรมของไวรัสโดยตรง (เหมาะกับสายพันธุ์เสี่ยงสูง)
- Co-testing – ตรวจ HPV พร้อมกับ Pap smear ในครั้งเดียว
- HPV Typing – วิเคราะห์ชนิดของไวรัสที่ตรวจพบ เพื่อดูความเสี่ยงของโรคมะเร็งในอนาคต
การเตรียมตัวก่อนตรวจ
- ควรตรวจในช่วงที่ไม่มีประจำเดือน
- งดการสวนล้างช่องคลอด 24 ชม. ก่อนตรวจ
- งดมีเพศสัมพันธ์อย่างน้อย 24 ชม. ก่อนเข้ารับการตรวจ
- ไม่จำเป็นต้องงดน้ำหรืออาหาร
