เบาหวานคืออะไร?
เบาหวาน (Diabetes Mellitus) คือภาวะที่ระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดสูงเกินปกติ
เนื่องจากร่างกายผลิตอินซูลินได้น้อย หรือใช้อินซูลินได้ไม่ดี ทำให้น้ำตาลสะสมในกระแสเลือดมากเกินไ
ประเภทของเบาหวานที่พบได้บ่อย:
- เบาหวานชนิดที่ 1: ร่างกายไม่สามารถสร้างอินซูลินได้เลย (พบน้อย มักเกิดในวัยเด็ก/วัยรุ่น)
- เบาหวานชนิดที่ 2: ร่างกายสร้างอินซูลินได้แต่ไม่เพียงพอ หรือดื้อต่ออินซูลิน (พบบ่อยในวัยผู้ใหญ่)
- เบาหวานขณะตั้งครรภ์: เกิดขึ้นเฉพาะช่วงตั้งครรภ์ ควรได้รับการดูแลใกล้ชิด
วิธีตรวจเบาหวาน
การตรวจเบาหวานสามารถทำได้หลายวิธี โดยขึ้นอยู่กับจุดประสงค์ของการตรวจ ได้แก่:
- FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar): ตรวจระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดหลังอดอาหาร 8 ชม.
- HbA1c: ตรวจระดับน้ำตาลเฉลี่ยย้อนหลัง 2–3 เดือน
- OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test): ตรวจการตอบสนองของร่างกายต่อกลูโคส (มักใช้ในคนที่สงสัยเบาหวาน หรือหญิงตั้งครรภ์)
- ตรวจปัสสาวะ: ตรวจหาระดับน้ำตาลหรือโปรตีนในปัสสาวะ หากมีภาวะแทรกซ้อน
การเตรียมตัวก่อนตรวจ
- ควรงดอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม (ยกเว้นน้ำเปล่า) อย่างน้อย 8 ชั่วโมงก่อนตรวจ FBS
- หลีกเลี่ยงอาหารหวานจัด หรือแป้งมากๆ ก่อนวันตรวจ
- งดแอลกอฮอล์และคาเฟอีนล่วงหน้า 1 วัน
- แจ้งแพทย์หากใช้ยาหรือมีโรคประจำตัวที่อาจมีผลต่อระดับน้ำตาล
